Professionally, I'm a systems programmer with Northern Illinois University. I install, maintain, and support a number of OS/390 software packages including JES2, IBM TCP/IP for MVS, SuperWylbur, and VPS. Also, I've written or modified a number of locally-developed programs which automatically generate student userids, ease the process of submitting batch jobs to MVS via TCP/IP, and generate Web pages for one of our internal Web sites.
In addition to my work with OS/390, I also work and play with Linux. I program in C, Emacs LISP, REXX, IBM S/390 Assembler, and PL/1.
Once I get home, I enjoy reading (history, biography, technology, music, comic strips, and Christian literature), listening to classical music or shortwave radio, conversing with friends, and playing around with Linux and OS/2.
