Waste Audits:

the pure joy of it all

Conducting a group waste-composition study provides an excellent snapshot of what is in the university waste stream, and forms a basis for designing a waste-management plan that promotes reduction, reuse, and recycling. This is primary research in campus anthropology. It is also a great way to learn first-hand about the kinds of wastes our campus generates - the first step in doing something positive about it. Where do you start? Let me tell you how.
Take a look at some of the waste audit results at Engineering, DuSable, Watson, or Williston.

Of course the graduate assistant

And if the grad assistant has to do it,
the student worker better be doing it!

Here's the trash! Doesn't
it look absolutely fun to muck through?
