Joshua Scott Chasez was born August 8, 1976, in Washington, D.C. He lived in Bowie, Maryland, for 13 years. At age 14, his family moved to Orlando, Fl. Where Chasez auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club (MMC). He wouldn't get picked for the show until later on when he was with a friend who wanted to audition.
MMC was a show that aired on the Disney Channel from 1989 until 1994. Chasez was picked to be a part of MMC the singing group. They put out an album and toured around the country. They would perform songs from the album in the parking lot of Target stores and afterward sign autographs inside.
Chasez stayed on the show for four years. After the show was cancelled, Chasez and fellow mousketeer, Justin Timberlake, decided to start a singing group. The two rounded up Joey Fatone, Chris Fitzpatrick, and Lance Bass to form what is now known as N'Sync. In 1998, N'Sync's self-titled debut album was released.
Chasez and N'Sync have toured all over the world performing their music and have received all kinds of music awards. The song, "Music of My Heart, was performed with Gloria Estefan. The song was featured on the soundtrack for the movie with the same name. The song received an Oscar nomination and the group performed the song at the Oscars.
In March after lawsuits with their former management, TransContinental, their second album was released. "No Strings Attached," was long awaited and had broken records within the first week of the album being in stores. The album features four songs co-written by Chasez. "Space Cowboy," "No Strings Attached," "Digital Get Down," and "Bringin' Da Noise" show Chasez's talents include more than singing and dancing.
Seventeen Magazine did an interview with N'Sync for its May issue. In the article, 23 year old Chasez talked about relationships and dating. Chasez said he doesn't have time to date because he hasn't got time and is too involved in his career. Chasez also said, in the interview, that he needs a stable woman who can keep him grounded.
N'Sync is currently on tour and will be in Chicago area in July. On July 25. 26 and 28, N'sync will perform at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.
