College of Business

At NIU's College of Business, the learner is the beneficiary of all our activities.

In an ever-changing world, we remain committed to preparing students to succeed in the global business environment. We achieve this by bringing together a diverse community of participants - from accomplished faculty to exceptional business professionals - who believe in helping our learners design and own their futures.

With your help, our college provides a number of resources to aid in the development of our students' future, including the following two very important tools.

Endowed Scholarships
Private support through endowed scholarships helps the College of Business attract a diverse and high-quality student body.

As the cost of higher education increases and state funding decreases, the university relies on the generous support of Northern's alumni and friends to continue making higher education accessible to all deserving students.

Endowed scholarship funds exist in perpetuity because it is a portion of the interest income from the endowment, not the principal that serves as the source for scholarship funding. Preserving the principal enables business students to benefit from your generosity year after year.

Endowed Chairs and Professorships
Private support allows the university to provide the additional salary and research support needed to attract, develop, retain, and recognize its most deserving faculty, which in turn, benefits Northern's students and programs.
