Corporate Relations The goal of the corporate relations program is to maximize support to Northern Illinois University from private sector corporations by serving as a "matchmaker" in bringing together NIU's strengths with the interests and needs of individual corporations. The primary focus of the corporate relations office is building strategic, multi-dimensional relationships through the university for maximum impact on both the corporation and NIU.   Corporate contributions benefiting NIU include outright gifts and pledges to support: Scholarships Fellowships Internships Professorships Faculty research Other important types of corporate support include matching gifts and gifts-in-kind, particularly gifts of equipment.   For more information, contact Mallory M.
