About ITO
The
International
Training Office
(ITO), created in
1981, serves the
international
development
community through
training
programs,
technical
assistance,
academic
linkages, and
professional
consulting.
ITO draws upon
NIU's excellent
academic
resources and
those in the
dynamic business,
governmental, and
non-governmental
organizations in
metropolitan
Chicago to ensure
quality
programming. ITO
has the capacity,
the institutional
resources, the
flexibility, and
the personnel to
develop training
programs that
maximize learner
participation and
promote creative
and practical
applications.
Since its
inception, ITO
has enhanced the
capacities of
both private and
public sector
organizations and
individual
professionals
from many
countries in the
developing world.
