In November 1997 the Executive Vice President and Provost appointed a Task Force on International Education at NIU. The Task Force was to take a comprehensive look at all international efforts on campus and make concrete action recommendations for the future.
The Task Force began its work during the Spring Semester of 1998. After working for most of the year, the Task Force developed a draft report in December of 1998. This draft report and its recommendations were distributed widely throughout the NIU for review, discussion, and feedback. The Task Force gathered and considered that feedback in crafting a final report. That final report was submitted to the Executive Vice President and Provost on May 10, 1999.
