Media Studies
Media Studies at NIU offers a diverse range of coursework emphasizing critical, theoretical, and production methods at the undergraduate and graduate level. Typical courses in the curriculum are: Documentary Tradition, History of Film, Media Law, Media Writing, etc. Documentaries produced by graduate students have recently won three major awards at national film festivals. Thanks to many production facilities, media students can work on audio, video, and computer-based projects.
