The Department of Communication offers a Master of Arts degree in communication studies. Graduate course work is available in communication theory, journalism, media studies, and rhetorical studies. Students may focus their studies in one area (communication theory, media studies or rhetorical studies) or may elect to study several areas. In consultation with faculty advisers, students may design programs of study that meet their individual needs and academic background. A program of courses could focus, for example, on organizational communication, on political rhetoric, or on documentary film.
