The Yordon Family Impact
The recent accomplishments of our athletic programs have earned Northern Illinois University national recognition and profoundly impacted our institution. Student and alumni pride and participation continue to soar. This state-of-the-art Yordon Center will help ensure success and continued engagement and involvement of our student-athletes, alumni and friends. Located in the north end zone area of Huskie Stadium, this Center will be the face of NIU's future. It will be the heart of our student-athletes' successes and a place where they will come to train their minds and their bodies.
We are building a legacy that will shape the NIU experience and that experience will be world-class.
Our new facility will give prospective student-athletes and their families an impressive welcome the first time they visit campus. Once they're here, the Center will give them a place to study, work out, or simply a place to connect.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTER:
Features one-on-one tutorial rooms, a group study room, and fully-equipped computer labs designed to provide student-athletes with the access they need to complete course work online. This Center will provide distinct learning environments catering to various learning styles and will allow for Student-Athlete Support Services personnel to be more accessible to our student-athletes. This Center demonstrates NIU's commitment to "a world class academic and athletic experience".

FRONT LOBBY:
This grand entry to the Center will provide an impressive and welcoming atmosphere for this beautiful facility.

COACHES' LOCKER ROOM:
This locker room is adjacent to the team locker room and will provide an area where Huskie coaches can develop practice strategies and outline game plans. It will be a private space, a place for thinking, a place for preparation.

ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM:
Designed for efficient and effective rehabilitation, taping, injury prevention and hydrotherapy with direct access to the playing field by student athletes and staff. In addition, the training room will offer private examination areas for our physicians and staff.

ATRIUM:
The second-floor lobby or atrium will also serve as premier gathering and entertainment space and will adjoin the two outdoor roof terraces. This glassed area will provide an outstanding view of Brigham Field for many Huskie fans on game day.

ROOF TERRACES:
First-class pre-game reception space ideal for entertaining donors and prospective student-athletes. The terraces will provide a birds-eye view of Brigham Field and adjoin the upstairs lobby/atrium.

TIERED MEETING ROOM:
Seating capacity of 150 with multiple video projection units. Has the capacity for an all-team meeting or break-out space for offense and defense. Also serves as a smart classroom with laptop stations for study or program usage.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CENTER:
Houses the most advanced training equipment and a variety of weight machines. This spacious area will alleviate scheduling conflicts and will accommodate the rigorous demands of student-athletes' academic schedules. This new Center will also allow for all warm-ups, plyometric, speed and agility activities to be completed within its confines.
FOOTBALL LOCKER ROOM:
This impressive area will allow for the entire football team to gather for pre-game, half-time, and post-game meetings and speeches. the layout of the room will allow for maximum communication and teaching.
HUSKIE TUNNEL:
The tunnel will extend from the locker room and will allow the Huskies to make a dramatic entrance onto the field as they run by a new bronze Huskie statue.

FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT ROOM:
The new equipment room dramatically improves services to our student athletes with expanded space for storage, washers and dryers as well as easy access from locker and training spaces.
