Dr. Durband is a physical anthropologist with interests in human
paleontology. His research is currently focused on the evolution
of hominids in Southeast Asia and Australia. He has participated
in fieldwork in the Rancah district of West Java, Indonesia, and
has also studied fossils in Germany, the Netherlands, and Australia.
Dr. Durband teaches courses in human osteology, human paleontology,
and introductory physical anthropology and human evolution.
