CYBORG CULTURE
The message content and creators are not alone in the effect. The form and volume of the communication may be subject to constant revisions, resulting in a lack of stability. "Software developers will look more like publishing companies, constantly providing output to users rather than sending out bulky, convoluted upgrades" (Ouellette, 1996, 20). Will our cyborg children inherit a world requiring a greater level of attention? Hasn’t today’s cyborg evolved into a being needing to attend to multiple environmental extensions, all rapidly moving toward them? Attention spans are shorter because of the impact of a significantly higher amount of signals either directly hitting or revolving around the cyborg.
