CYBORG CULTURE

 - Language: Who Sets Community Standards

The cyberspace community should set their own standards and not rely on government. "Users have to choose where they visit, what they see, and what they do" (Dyson, 1995, 27). If self-legislation is viable, then what impact is there on the judicial realm? Does the cyberworld become one of individuals determining their own codes of interactivity without the social weaving?

As the cyborg extends its reach, it has the obligation to itself and to others to communicate in an evolving manner. Doesn’t this suggest that pushing the envelope is necessary? There are no rules in cyberworld.
