Bill Gates has contributed to the growing intellect of computer processing and the creation of extensions that McLuhan believed necessary to become part of the technological environment. His entrepreneurial appetite to invest and extend his influence onto the populace is not dissimilar to the extended reach desired and nurtured by the cyborg. Perhaps, Gates was most instrumental the creating environmental capabilities for the flourishing of the cyborg race.
