CYBORG CULTURE
Does the cyborg's religious transformation elevate or create new symbols and icons? Historically, religious symbols have communicated meanings to many. Battles have been held over symbolism such as the holy city of Jerusalem for over a thousand years. Does the cyborg even care about the development of and representation of icons?
The icons may develop from pioneers in the recognition and contribution to the cyborg process. Some may be real. Some may be fictional. Some may be human. Some may be cyborgs. Candidates can come from the trailblazers, intermediary cyborgs, and from the cyborg experience.
Will these icons and symbols help facilitate the transformational process of the cyborg? Will cyborgs follow, as men have in the past, to the direction the interpretation of these icons may have to them? The creation of new icons will have an affect on the cultural language, the social interaction of the cyborg, the infrastructure of the cyborg. If the cyborg is able to interpret without consideration to frameworks, is organized religion viable in the cyberworld?
Will we realize what it means to be a god by becoming one?
