Documentaries accepted into the festival will be screened on Friday, April 1 beginning at 1:00 PM. Once the selected entries are decided, a schedule of screening times will be posted. Awards will be announced at 4 PM.

The Adventures of Mad Matt (27 min)
America’s Funniest Home Videos meets The Wonder Years as four kids risk their lives to produce MAD MATT, an action series shot between 1982 and 1992. Snowmobile stunts, cast in-fighting, and sister torture lead to a moving climax that proves you are never too young to pay a price for blind ambition. A hilarious family portrait and a poignant critique of a generation that grew up on Steven Spielberg and cable TV.

Hamster Cocktails (18 min)
This documentary was designed to shock high school and college students into thinking twice before they allow themselves to be put in a hazing situation. The documentary crew traveled to two towns where horrific hazing incidents occurred. By revisiting the scenes of the crimes and talking with the people involved, they reveal how seemingly innocent decisions can lead to tragedy and death.

The Reel Deal (20 min)
Northern Illinois University pioneered the marketing Apprentice class based on Donald Trump’s hit television show. The most important lesson that the students learned was one that the professors never anticipated.

A New Frontier: The Sibley Story (23:30)
George and Mary Sibley forged new frontiers for their entire lives. George established trade with the Indians at Fort Osage and Mary began a school for the Indian and trader children in the area. The couple continued their tradition for education when they returned to their home of St. Charles, Missouri and began Lindenwood University, now their legacy.
